The process of making my own WordPress site was really fun. It wasn’t too difficult at all and managing the plug-ins and themes went well. My favorite part was picking my favorite theme and adding my own pictures into the site. Feeling inspired by Apple, I chose a dark-mode type of theme.
Besides classwork and projects, I want to post my photos and videos on this site. It’ll be a really cool and new way to see all my work that isn’t on a social media page. Presenting all of it on my own website feels and looks more professional.
Some benefits of having your own personal website would be having total control of the content, structure, design, and more. Additionally, the website would be more personal. A couple of drawbacks would be that I think paid and hosted websites offer higher quality interfaces and software, so having your own would miss out on those benefits.
