This assignment was not super difficult, but it did cause some frustration at the beginning before I got used to it. I found myself struggling with how touchy the zoom feature was at the beginning, but eventually got the hang of it. I ended up finding the pan and tilt features which made the entire movement on the screen easier to handle. Some compromises I had to make included the color of my house, as they did not have the actual color of my house and the exact shape of my house. There are some irregularities to the shape of my house that seemed too daunting to try and tackle. The humanistic uses for this tool would include architecture, learning how to construct a house that has a good aesthetic and seeing what colors go well with what you are trying for without actually having to paint the whole house. This could also be useful for construction as it would give a good idea of the next step in the process of the building of the life size version of the house. A tip that I can share from SketchUp is to utilize the search feature as it makes finding everything you need a lot more simple. Also, I would add what I mentioned earlier and highlight the importance of the zoom, pan, and tilt features while creating the house.

Will, I am very impressed with how you constructed your house and what you included. I like how you included property features such as fences, as I only had my house and not the surrounding property.
I also had to make compromises in the colors used in my home, and I couldn’t find the exact color of my house. But, your house looks excellent regardless of the colors used.
I especially like how your house has a chimney, as I tried to add a chimney to my house but couldn’t figure out how to do so. Do you have any advice on how to create one?
Hello Will! I like your design choices and how the colors nicely complement each other. I agree with you that it is frustrating to draw irregular shapes in SketchUp. I will check out the search feature since I have never used it before. Thanks for the tip
