I am very excited about this project because I want to learn more about many Carleton’s students’ favorite aspect of Carleton — the people! We know who they are/were (Carleton alumni/students), and it would be cool to find out where did they come from and where did they go. I also LOVE maps so making our own map would be great fun (cleaning up the data probably less so but seeing it all come together and working properly would be very satisfying)!
And as an international students, I know Carleton and other Liberal Arts Colleges wasn’t very well known internationally in the past as they are these days. It would be very cool and interesting to see how and when did the enrolled students spread out world-wide and country-wide.
